The best thing for you if you want to stay alive from prostate cancer is to know the early symptoms of prostate cancer.

This knowledge can help you to start an early treatment of getting rid of it before it spreads to over parts of your body.

Note that when it is allowed to spread to other part of your body, it could become incurable. Like other types of cancer, when it spreads to other parts of the body it would have caused a lot of damage and would be very difficult, if not impossible, to solve.

That is why areas suspected of having cancer, like the breasts, are caught off, to prevent it from spreading to other parts of the body.

But sadly, it is very difficult to find any early symptoms of prostate cancer. This is because prostate cancer is a very slow progressing cancer… taking many years before any symptom appears.

When the symptoms begin to appear, they include:

Frequent night urination

Difficulty in urination

Pain during urination

Pain during ejaculation

Weak or interrupted urine flow

Blood in the urine

Blood in the semen

Stiffness of lower back, upper thighs and or hips

If you are above 40 years old and you notice a combination of the above during a period of time, then you should immediately see your doctor for a full prostate cancer test.

Note that even if you don’t have any of the above symptoms it could be that the cancer is growing progressively without your knowledge.

The best thing to do is to always go for a check at least once or twice a year.

Are you still waiting for the sign and symptom of prostate cancer before you go for your test?

If yes, then I hate to scare you but if you are over 40 years old and you don’t go for your prostate cancer test right now, you could be just a few steps away from having an incurable condition in your hands.

Yes, prostate cancer becomes incurable or very difficult to cure when it has spread to other parts of your body like the seminal vesicles and beyond!

When it gets far into other parts of the body, even the best forms of prostate cancer treatments will no longer be able to do much help for you.

So, if you stay too long before discovering you have prostate cancer and it has spread to your seminal vesicles and beyond, then it becomes late for you.

Don’t join those who always wait for the sign and symptom of prostate cancer before going for the tests.

The sad news is that most times when the sign and symptom of prostate cancer begins to show, it would have already spread to other parts of the victims’ bodies. And at this point, it could have become too late.

With prostate cancer, the difference between life and death is “early detection”. Detecting it at a very early stage ensures that it can be treated before it spreads to other parts of the body.

But if you delay on this and it isn’t detected in good time, it would have spread to other parts of the body and caused untold havoc- which can not be remedied.

If you experience certain symptoms like frequent night urination, blood in your urine or semen, pains in your lower back, in your pelvis or in your upper thighs, this could be symptom of cancer.

You need to undergo a prostate cancer diagnosis to determine if indeed you have prostate cancer and what can be done to cure it and save your life.

Many people don’t go through the second stage with hope and optimism.

Don’t be like that. Even when you discover these symptoms, you shouldn’t just throw in the towel but try to see what you need to do about it. First, check with your doctor to conduct screening tests of prostate cancer for you.

As part of your diagnosis, your doctor will perform what is called ‘digital rectal examination’ on you. This is a kind of examination where your doctor will use a gloved finger to gently check the smoothness of your rectal lining- hence the name ‘rectal examination’.

With this examination your doctor can tell if cancer is present in your prostate by checking to see if he can feel a nodule or other types of prostate irregularity.

One of the most important screening tests to be conducted by your doctor during this prostate cancer test is the Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test.

This test is used to measure the levels of a protein in the blood called prostate-specific antigen. This protein is usually overproduced by prostate cancer cells. So, if prostate cancer is present, there will be an increase of PSA levels in the blood of the victim.

If after these screening tests cancer is detected in the prostate, the doctor will go ahead and perform what is known as biopsy. This is a process where a tissue sample from the prostate is removed and examined using a microscope.

This biopsy is performed on prostate cancer victims to analyze if the tumor or growth is cancerous or not.

I was talking to a friend of mine some days back about prostate cancer. I was trying to convince him of the importance of going for a prostate cancer test once or twice every year instead of waiting for the signs and symptoms to show up.

As educated as he is on many subjects, he still saw no much sense in going for the prostate cancer test. It took me a heck of time and effort to convince him to go for the prostate cancer test eventually.

And guess what?

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer, even though he hadn’t started having any symptom such as pain in the groin or any such symptoms yet.

Luckily for him the cancer hadn’t spread out of the prostate, so his chances of survival are very high. He has since commenced his treatment and is doing everything recommended to keep the cancer at bay for the rest of his life.

Lesson from this short story?

Everyone, including YOU, should go for your prostate cancer test as soon as you reach the age of 40. There is no point sitting there believing it won’t happen to you only to find out many years later that it had actually been growing silently within you for many years and has now spread beyond the prostate into other parts of your body. At this advanced stage, survival rate is pretty low.

Any wonder why so many people continue to die from prostate cancer?

So, you don’t have to wait for prostate cancer symptom pain groin or any such symptom before going for your prostate cancer test.

When such prostate cancer symptom pain groin start showing up, then it might have spread to other parts of your body such as the bones… and this is really late.

Treatments definitely about even in the prostate cancer symptom pain groin stage. Talk to your doctor about the best treatment that will work for you and commence it immediately.

The biggest problem with cancer probably is the fact that it usually growths slowly and produces no symptoms in its initial state, for a long time. That is why it is so hard to know before hand if one has prostate cancer.

It is when it might have reached an advanced stage that the warning signs and signals begin to show. Prostate cancer symptoms at this stage can include difficulty in urination, sometimes accompanied with serious pain.

Another symptom of prostate cancer is frequent urination, mostly at night. Victims are known to urinate much more often at night than people who don’t have this problem.

Though old age is also one of the reasons for frequent night urination, it might not be the only cause. Prostate cancer could just be around the corner when this condition persists.

Prostate cancer symptom also includes blood in the urine or semen of the victim. When this occurs, then you should be concerned because it is absolutely not normal. Something is definitely wrong when this happens.

Also, there is sometimes pain the lower back, pelvis, or even the upper thighs of the victim- these are also symptoms of prostate cancer.

These pains are felt in these areas usually because the cancerous cells have spread to the areas. At this stage, it has become critical and a lot has to be done to help the victim.

Note that these prostate cancer kinds of symptoms are not enough to jump into the conclusion that one has prostate cancer. You need to undergo screening tests for prostate cancer before you can be absolutely certain that you have it or not.

Prostate cancer is a disease that takes its time to grow inside the prostate of the victim. It can stay inside a victim for many years without showing any signs or symptoms.

That is why there are so many deaths arising from prostate cancer. Most men are not aware of its existence until it has spread to other parts of the body.

If they had detected its existence in their body long before the prostate cancer warning signs started showing, there would be a better chance of survival.

When you start experiencing prostate cancer warning signs, then it is an indication that it could have spread outside the prostate and into other areas of the body.

At this point, the situation is much worse, but not hopeless. Something can still be done to keep you alive. It would all depend on the spread of the prostate cancer.

The prostate cancer warning signs include ?

?	Frequent urination, mostly at nights.

?	Weak or interrupted urine flow in victims with prostate cancer

?	General difficulty in urinating is another sign of prostate cancer.

?	Notice of some blood in the urine.

?	Blood is also noticed in the semen of prostate cancer victims

?	Serious pain when urinating.

?	Complete or half impotence.

?	Serious pain in the bones.

The above warning signs and symptoms nonetheless, you still have chances of survival. There are cases of people who have had all the above warning signs but they still survived prostate cancer for many more years than their prognosis suggested.

With prostate cancer, it pays to be very hopeful and to do all your doctor says while on the treatment.

The signs of prostate cancer can vary greatly. It all depends on the particular part of the prostate gland that is affected by the cancer and at what stage the cancer has reached.

If it is still in the early stages, then there is hardly any sign to be noticed.

When prostate cancer reaches the advanced stage, it then breaks out from the tumor and gradually spreads to other parts of the body, including the bones of the victim’s hop and lower back.

When it has however reached a more advanced stage, the signs will include:

All these signs of prostate cancer mentioned above nonetheless, it is worth mentioning that it is not compulsory that they are all a sign of prostate cancer.

Even with all the signs above, you should not jump into the conclusion that you have prostate cancer, until after a thorough test by your doctor. Sometimes the above signs could be sign of old age or sign of other diseases, so always go for a test if the above signs of prostate cancer starts showing up in your body.

But it is best for you to seek doctor’s advice immediately you start feeling a combination of the above signs. With prostate cancer, your best chances of survival will be high if the disease is detected in good time.

That is when the early treatments will do you a lot of good. But if it has spread to other parts of your body, your survival chances will be pretty slim.
