I was told about the importance of prostate cancer chat rooms on the Internet and when I visited one of them, I was impressed.

It turned out to be a very important Internet based support group as I met many prostate cancer survivors, prostate cancer victims and a lot of others who had very sound knowledge about prostate cancer.

I shared ideas with them in the prostate cancer chat rooms and have made it a point of duty to always log in once a day to chat with them.

One of the important information I got from the prostate cancer chat rooms included the website address of one of the most popular prostate cancer charity organizations called- The Prostate Cancer Charity – http://www.prostate-cancer.org.uk

This Prostate Cancer Charity was set up in 1996 with the key role of raising public awareness on the issue of prostate cancer and to raise public debate and support.

The Prostate Cancer Charity is the largest and most comprehensive of the charities whose sole function is prostate cancer.

According to them, their vision is to achieve for men, in relation to prostate cancer, what has so successfully been achieved for women and breast cancer.

The current Chief Executor of the Prostate Cancer Charity is John Neate.

Apart from three core objectives which are to provide support, information and funding for research, they also engage in the following events and projects:

  • Prostate Cancer Awareness Week
  • National Conference
  • Regional Development
  • African Caribbean Awareness Project
  • Specialist Nurse Program

prostate surgery went well, no treatment needed. 8 years later psa went from 0.1 to 0.3. What are my options for survival

  2. ProstateCancerVictory says:

It will depend on a number of factors and differs with different individuals, that’s why I would suggest you meet and talk to your doctor, particularly the doctor(s) that handled it the first time.

You see, when it comes to survival of prostate cancer, some of the factors that have to be taken into consideration before giving any opinions or conclusions include – the type of surgery you had, your individual anatomy/body system, etc.
