Green Tea as Prostate Cancer Treatment

There are now a growing number of experts who insist that there are indeed lots of natural treatments for prostate cancer. But do they really work? The truth is that some of these seem to work for some people but not for everybody. But isn’t that understandable? Nothing ever works for everybody, as we are al- different and our body systems are different as well.

Taking a closer look at green tea as prostate cancer treatment, many people say they have gotten good results from using it as a preventive solution. Due to green tea’s polyphenol content, it is apparent now that green tea may be protective against prostate cancer.

There have been quite a number of comprehensive clinical studies into the potential of green tea as a prostate cancer treatment, but even the most comprehensive of them suggests that it has no protective effect.

One study however, that looked into the derivatives of green tea, did demonstrate some promising prostate cancer prevention qualities in the substance, particularly for patients at high risk for the disease.

Today it is now believed that oral infusion of green tea polyphenols may inhibit the development, progression, and metastasis of prostate cancer - it did so in mouse specimens.
